Can
I buy on layaway?
Unfortunately, not. The fluid nature of the products we sell makes such an arrangement
impractical.
What
credit cards do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
Do
I have to pay by credit card?
No, you don't! Dragonfly Design realizes not everyone chooses to use credit cards,
so we also accept checks. If you feel more comfortable doing things the old-fashioned
way, you may also email your order to orders@dragonfly-jewelry.com.
We will notify you with the balance due, and once we receive your check and it
clears, we will send your order to you.
Do you charge sales tax?
Dragonfly Design must charge sales tax on all items shipped within the state of
California.
How do I pay using a gift certificate?
On the bottom of the page where you fill out your address and choose a shipping
method, you'll see a little box underneath bold print saying "Enter your
gift certificate here". Just enter the number on your gift certificate beginning
with GCT, and you're all set.
How do I use a coupon?
On the bottom of
the page where you fill out your address and choose a shipping method, you'll
see a little box underneath bold print saying "Enter your coupon name to
receive a discount". The coupon name is on the coupon and probably looks
something like XYZ-101.
Why
do I have to fill out so much information to place an order?
Online fraud is a growing concern, for online merchants and credit card holders
alike. Dragonfly Design strives to protect our clients from fraud to the best
of our ability. The information you provide insures your good credit stays with
you. Please remember your credit card information is never stored on our site,
and all information you enter during the order process is transmitted using the
highest security standards available.
Can I change my order?
It is the prerogative of woman to change her mind...and an awful lot of men do
it too! Obviously, you can change your order any time until you've gone through
the buying process and actually purchased your item(s). But what if you change
your mind after you hit that send button? If you send your changes in email to

before your goods are packed and shipped, then changing your mind is no problem
at all. If your order has already been packed and is ready to be shipped, it can
also be changed, although depending on your timing, it might cost you a day in
shipping. Make your decisions quickly, however; once your order has been packed
and shipped, it can not be recalled or changed.
Can I cancel an order?
Dragonfly understands that sometimes you change your mind; buying online can be
a little nerve-wracking, and most of us like to hold an object in our hands before
we plunk down our hard-earned cash. If you suddenly find you can't live with your
order, or something happens and you need to cancel your purchase, send an email
to orders@dragonfly-jewelry.com
using CANCEL ORDER in the subject line. If your order has not yet been packed
and shipped, all is well. If it has already been packed and is ready to be shipped,
an additional fee of $5.00 will be applied to help cover time and expense. If
your order has already been shipped, it is too late to cancel your order.
Can I exchange an item?
Many of the pieces on the website are one of a kind objects and can not be duplicated.
A lot of care went into their creation, and I want you to be happy with your choices.
If ever you receive a piece of jewelry from Dragonfly Design that does not meet
your expectations, you may return the item within 14 days of receipt for a credit,
excluding the cost of shipping and a $5.00 return fee. You must also notify us
immediately via email to care@dragonfly-jewelry.com
and include the words EXCHANGE ORDER in the subject line. The email should also
contain your phone number so we can contact you in person. Normal shipping costs
will apply to the new items, and all returned items must be responsibly packed
and insured for their full value. You will receive credit for your purchase once
the item has been returned to us in its original condition.
Can I return an item?
Dragonfly Design wants you to be happy. If you receive an item which you feel
fails to live up to your expectations of quality, you may return the item within
7 days of receipt for a full refund of the item price. You must notify us immediately
via email to care@dragonfly-jewelry.com
and include the words RETURN ORDER in the subject line. The email should also
contain your phone number, to allow us to contact you in person. Normal shipping
costs will still apply to the item, and all returned items must be responsibly
packed and insured for their full value. You will receive refund for your purchase
once the item has been returned to us in its original condition.
How soon can I expect my order to
arrive?
That depends on which shipping method you choose; however, every effort is made
to ship your order out to you as soon as possible. Immediate shipment isn't always
possible, so while most orders are shipped within 7 days of receipt, some may
take an additional week. In general, please allow 6 - 12 days for receipt of your
order. If you need an item by a certain date, please send an email to orders@dragonfly-jewelry.com
immediately and let us know. Please include both day and night time phone numbers
in your email and state the best time for us to call. If for some reason your
order is ever delayed, Dragonfly Design will notify you via email.
I need my order asap; can I get
it sent overnight?
No one understands better than we that shopping sometimes happens at the last
minute. We are always happy to help, and will provide overnight shipping if needed.
Please understand, however, that it may take a day or two for your order to be
processed. If time is of the utmost, please send an email to orders@dragonfly-jewelry.com
and let us know. Be sure to include both day and night time phone numbers in your
email and the best time for us to call.
Will my item look like the picture
on your website?
Yes...and no. No two things in nature are exactly alike, and every Dragonfly design
is assembled by hand. Most of the materials used in Dragonfly jewelry are natural,
so differences such as inclusions or variances in color and shape are intrinsic
and believed to add to the beauty of the piece. You should also be aware that
while every effort has been made to accurately represent the jewelry on the website,
colors do vary from computer monitor to monitor. Dragonfly Design can not guarantee
the colors on your monitor to provide an exact match with life.
Dragonfly also carries a few mutable items, and the images of those are there
to give you an idea of what the piece is like. The Nicci
charm bracelet is one example; the sterling
silver and Swarovski crystal necklace with pearls and/or semi-precious stone
is another. In instances where the design of the piece is not "set in stone,"
you are informed in the text description. That being said, just about any item
on the site can be changed to suit your own particular taste and style, as well
- the Marie
peridot and strawberry "quartz" necklace is one such example, having
started life as Harmony.
What happens if my order arrives
damaged?
Once a package leaves Dragonfly Design, it becomes the responsibility of the shipping
agent.
However, in the unlikely event your order has been damaged when it arrives, please
send an email immediately to orders@dragonfly-jewelry.com
and include the words DAMAGED ORDER in the subject line. Please briefly describe
the nature of the damage and include your telephone number so Dragonfly can contact
you in person to determine how we can be of help.
Can I order things to be sent
overseas or to Canada?
We happily ship to Canada via USPS or Federal Express. However, due to the high
succeptibility of the internet to fraudulent overseas orders, all orders for delivery
outside North America must be pre-approved, and we reserve the right to refuse
any international order. You should also be aware that shipping can be very expensive,
and the rates quoted on the site are for North American delivery only. As well,
customs and VAT are your responsibility. Please send an email to info@dragonfly-jewelry.com
stating where you'd like to have the item(s) shipped and what you'd like to order,
and we can more accurately help you to determine the cost, method, and acceptability
of shipment.
How do I place a custom order?
Almost any item on the Dragonfly website can be customized, but I also love working
with clients to design tailor-made pieces. It's as easy as filling out the Dragonfly
custom jewelry form or sending an email to info@dragonfly-jewelry.com
with the worlds CUSTOM ORDER in the subject line. Include your day and night time
telephone numbers and any ideas you might have, and I will be happy to call and
discuss your desires with you.
Can I get my order gift-wrapped?
Of course! Every piece of jewelry you purchase from Dragonfly Design comes in
a pretty silver organza bag tied with a silver satin ribbon.
