Surly-Ramics
Hey, ceramic jewelry lovers!
There's a really great place here in LA (and on the web) where you can get really fantastic, truly unique and one-of-a-kind pieces. Check out Surly-Ramics, where Johnny Skaare and Amy Roth (who are now engaged!) are turning out everything from the spiritual to the punk and all stops in between in the form of some awesomely creative pendants, focal pieces, and jewelry. They're gettin' bigger and bigger, so get thee hence and order, because soon the only way you may be able to get their stuff is to pay high prices in places like the Nieman of the Marcus. I'm not kiddin'. You want something special and tailored to you, Surly-Ramics is a great way to express your individuality and/or make a personal statement. It really is art you can wear. Check 'em out. :)

Very nice ceramics! I've ordered a lot of this type of stuff, but haven't actually incorporated it into any designs yet. If you're looking for beads and pendants to make into jewelry, check out Earthenwood Studio and Clay River Designs. Both do really beautiful work as well.
Oh, and welcome back to the blogosphere! I hear good things about LiveJournal...have you checked it out?
Yes, and I don't care for it at all. (LJ) I have friends who blog there, and they seem to always have to deal with a high school mentality, plus, I don't like the setup. For all of its hassles, blogger kicks lj's butt.
I worked with one half of the Surly team, and I saw their stuff every day, so I can totally vouch for the quality and creativity involved in it. Just FYI. :)
Oh, I think their stuff is beautiful, although some of the photographs made me a little leery of surfing their pages while at work.
A couple of my favorite sci fi authors blog at LJ so I thought it might not be too bad.
